Katsura Kan-

Katsura Kan is a Master Butoh artist and his students performed a dance series that is considered a revolutionary dance which emerged from the Post WWII Japan. Katsura describes it as "surrealism of the flesh". This wasn't your typical dance, but it was very interpretive and very unusual to me. The dancers were performing acts like they were coming out of a wound and they were acting like animals and I found this pretty unusual for dance.

Hobey Ford

Hobey Ford is knows as a puppeteer and he created all of his puppets by sculpting them out of foam and other materials. This was the most interesting event that I have seem yet. He showed the movements that the puppets can take on and how the are manipulated by the hand to seem realistic. He had marionetts, "Foamies" and shadow puppetry. He was also the creator of the Peepers and he showed us some great moves to inspire children in their world of learning.
