James Nachtwey, a photographer...then a war photographer. He took a lot of photographs that showed emotion, devastation, loss, struggle, starvation and determination. The image here shows a relic of civil war that became a monument in a park. The child playing on the tank makes it become lively.
The images that he shows of people suffering through starvation and the loss of limbs are painfully saddening and they are so misunderstood. He seems to be very passionate about showing his photography as a journalist in the digital era.

Indian Rock
Indian Rock
I am excited to go to Indian Rock in Vista and shoot photography of my own. It is really sad how people have defaced the sacred grounds that are ancient and memorable to others all around. Till then!!

Land, Air and Seascapes
Land, Air and Seascapes
By Patrick Smith
So far this is my favorite one that I have seen. Land, Air and Seascapes, which was mostly photographed at Morro Bay in California. The images are showing the beach and the powerful water crashing against the barriers as the sun sets. The color of the images are very pure and moving. The images show the how the ocean can be dominating and can take over something that we would see as big and make it small.

Landscape Portfolio: Photography Rediscovered

Very powerful beach images taken mostly at night. I especially like the one of the star fish, it is bright and colorful and I love the oranges and the pinks in the star fish. His photography is something that I would like to create one day and of course make my own.

"The Removal Act"
The powerful video by Janel Munoa makes you realize that the destruction of wildlife, especially on Indian reservations is significantly a big issue. The Bison on the land being tortured and slaughtered is a big fear that comes to the extinction of that specific animal. As a result of all of this she is making it said that by destroying land and taking over we, the U.S., have made history by doing so.
